The BMW M3 Coupe...
The thing I had to laugh about in that picture was "20 mpg hwy". My wife has achieved it once, I've never come close to that seemingly insurmountable hurdle. But it's a great car otherwise!
i averaged 21 mpg on the way from NY to Boston. 225 miles @ 70 cruising. But granted i never got above 12-13 in NY.
My brothers ///M3 coupe sits in my driveway right now. 50K miles on it and still VERY solid, no creaks, no noises. I wouldn't want to insure it, keep tires on it or feed it gas but it's a fantastic vehicle.
Regarding fuel economy, I averaged ~24mpg from Corpus Christi to Providence, RI bringing my 500+ hp LS2 FD home. Did 462 miles on 15.9 gallons (29mpg) on one tankful on the way!
Shocking, obscene even, that the M3 can't manage better than a 20mpg hwy rating.

Makes you wonder what all that engineering was for.
I'd much rather travel cross-country in an M3 than an FD or just about any other true sports car, regardless of how much extra gas it took. The engine has 8 ITB's and is fairly revvy, not the best combination for high fuel economy. Still, everyone I know that owns one loves it. I wish it was more fuel efficient, but its positive attributes far outweigh its thirstiness.
I could save a lot of gas by using my S2000 as a DD, but the M3 is so much better for that.
