BMW Press Release
To quote my wife when asked what she thought of the looks of it, "It's fine. I like it (looks) about as much as I would like a Honda Civic. It's no viper." I tend to feel the same. Eh...some of the technology is cool, the weight is lame, I'm not buying the brakes...I think they will suck, and the looks are pretty pedestrian.
The CF roof, IMO looks real bad. They should just paint it.

I like the CF on White. But I wonder if the "no sunroof" option will turn any of the soft-roaders away? They keep telling me that a 911 without a sunroof is really hard to sell. Does that apply to M3's in the future? I almost never use car sunroofs, so it doesn't matter to me personally.
I thought some of the language in the press launch was over-the-top and gimmicky. "Optimized" "perfect" "M-this" "M-that." I liked it better when they just let the product speak for itself. It's like they're trying hard to impress people with the M-badge.

0-100km/hr in 4.8 seconds is not that impressive nowadays. Even a 335i could do it in 5 seconds.
How fast do you think the lighter 135 will be? Maybe 4.6 seconds to 60mph? That'd be embarrassing if the 135 beats the M3 on the track....
