Lol it's not about being or not being the mechanic. Shit, If i decided to supercharge in s2000, I would have no clue where to start! I would definitely bring it to a shop.

The expereience that i get from it is going through the process if I supercharge it and bring it to a tuning shop. What could i learn:
how much it cost, what is a good deal, how much installing cost, how long is takes to install, etc.

When you bring it to the shop and watch them do it, you know what it takes to install a supercharger, Even though I heard supercharger isn't to bad installing.

When you go through the process of buying the part, installing/watching them install, you learn a lot more. You know what kind of deal is a good deal because you done your research.

Shit, even if you didn't do it yourself completely, You and your buddy can go through the process and stuggle and learn a lot more about the car.

like someone said, just a general conversation, no offence...Enough Said

You guys are taking my statement slightly the wrong way.

By respect, I meant......

All the time, I see little punk kids with their STIs, Evos, M3s, etc....talk how about how fast their cars are.

Respect is a very powerful word, i learn that a long time ago. I, persoanlly try to respect everyone. The difference is MORE RESPECT.

Ok ya, that guy with the civic is a nice guy...ok...but he bought that shit completely beefed out, he didn't do jack. he don't know jack about his car, his parts. I still have respect for hima s a person, but not as MUCH RESPECT FOR HIS IMPORT SIDE.

ya hear? Enough said[QUOTE]Originally posted by Luder94
One more thing that I learned in life...

Try not to respect the person for their cars or their material gains...

Respect them for who they are.

I always respect the car more if the owner did ALL his own work.

I respect the guy most who knows how to do all of the work, but can afford to pay someone else to do it. Also, using better, high end equipment. But my personal goal is to have a garage at my house, and a full time mechanic just for all of my cars.

How about a girl who decides what she wants done, writes up a parts list and specs, and pays a shop to do the work, while she works to pay the bill? If her car is fast as hell, and runs solid, with no nagging problems, how is she less deserving of respect than the jackass who built a JDM Integra that barely runs for a 1/4, needs three people to get it started, yet he did all the work himself, jury-rigged and baling wired to the hilt as it is?
