Default Bought a new car!

Car has a spoiler and Momo shift knob on it (on the car, not by choice). Negotiated and got it for $22,000. Tried to get a non TR WRX for $23,250, but they wouldn't budge, which is odd because the non TR is only $500 more than a TR. Guess they want to move the TRs.

I haven't taken delivery, dealership closed at 9 and was there until about 9:30. It wasn't even PDI'd, had the plastic on it and everything. Therefore, I'll be taking delivery tomorrow night.

It's no S2000 but it's what I could afford. I'll post pictures when I get 'em.

Congrats on the new ride. Nice choice and a good buy. Did you trade your '93 Probe GT on it? The first new car I got was a '93 Probe GT. My parents bought it for me in high school. Black, loaded, grey leather, sunroonf. I put on a Borla exhaust and Eibach springs (this was way before modding was popularly fashionable). I loved that car. I think I loved that even more than my first S2000. It was probably just a function of being young, though. I tell myself if I ever come across a perfect one for sale now, I'll buy it in a heartbeat, if only for nostalgia. Unfortunately, most are pretty clapped out now. Congrats, again. I'm sure YOU'LL like the WRX far more than the Probe GT.

Nope, I still have my Probe. I love her. She does need a lot of work, though, and wasn't worth fixing anymore, which is why I got a new car. I had head gasket work on her, replaced timing belts, water pumps, new tires. But she is running rich and burning a quart of oil a week, not to mention needs a new paintjob. Needs new suspension, too. Definitely a great first car, however, and will hold a strong place in my heart for that. I'll probably still use her every so often.

Can't wait to drive the WRX, though.

A type s what? RSX? Don't say TL. No Hondas are appealing besides an S2000 or NSX.

Either way, FWD is weak. I wanted RWD or AWD.

I realized this weekend at NASA Nats that I REALLY regret letting my dad trade in his clapped out Integra for $800...I shoulda bought it from him and made it a track rat. Ohhhh well
