Buick Regal GS
Did the first car make it to the market and how many of the second did they build?
Also the real performance on the GN didn't happen until years later when the oil crisis hit and no one was making performance cars.
And this is the only data points you could find in a hundred years of Buick production?

I like the overall styling but the large air intakes they added to the bumper don't do it for me. I'm also not that fond of the Lexus like fake exhaust outlets or the Acura like horizontal trunk trim.
I do agree that this car's styling really could have been an evolution of the Acura line. Given the way Honda butchered the current Acura line styling that would have been a good thing.
Overall, if the car is good I would consider one. I suspect it will be reasonably sporty kind of like the recent SAABs. They weren't BMWs but they were respectable. I wish they would bring over the Euro style sedan like hatchbacks.
Overall, I think Buick is finally producing interesting and respectable cars again. Nice to see it.

Jon, too bad I haven't seen any TL vs. SHO comparsions. I was wanting that $50 for Christmas money.

They can call it "Big vs Ugly".

I think it would have a much better chance branded as a Pontiac, but the chances of that are pretty darn slim now.
It's a decent looking car, but I just don't think "sporty" and "Buick" belong in the same sentence. GM's got a lot of brand image work to do to keep the Pontiac loyal people to GM now.

As for the price I was only citing what was referenced in the article.

I completely forgot about that bet. I need to email the car rags and tell them that I have a $50 bet riding on this and they need to accommodate us with a full test.

Let me know.
I like how they redesigned it as a Buick. Very nice.
If they sell it exactly like that(wheels, front end, lowered suspension, + TT V6), I'm buying one.
But I highly doubt that the production would look like that.
