And here is the new (to me ) Forester XT! It is a clean title and the previous owner took very good care of it. I picked it up with 85k on the clock, so not to bad. In southern Cali, it is very hard to find a nice clean titled XT under 100k miles. I can't wait to start giving it the STi treatment, as well as some stepped down wheels (15s) with stepped up all terrain tires!

I wanted the 4eat and was lucky enough to find one. The reason I wanted to go auto this time around is because my plans for the XT is to higher and make it an off-road vehicle. The 4eat is also better on fuel economy, as the power split changes from 1st and 2nd being 50/50, to 3rd being 70/30, and 4th being 90/10. This is done for fuel efficiency on the highway. But while going off-road, I'd be sticking to 1st and 2nd. From what I have read and have heard from other owners, the Foresters are extremely capable off-road, with the exception of crawling, since the suspension is more car than truck.

I'll pm you my cost details.

Oh and MK, since you mentioned "family car", this was another reason why I upgraded to the XT. The STi worked, but as my two little ones got a bit bigger the back seat became very cramped. The back seat in the XT gave me about another 6-8 inches of room and it's very comfortable for the kids now. Also, I love having the extra space in the back cargo area. The privacy cover is great too.

cool car! My friend had an XT sports, you can use them for anything! Tons of space and very comfortable on long hauls.
