Default Caddy XLR

Not since my dad brought home his '68 Coupe DeVille convertible have I heard myself utter these words... Nice job, Cadillac!

Check out R&T this month, folks. Nice spread on the XLR (production version of the Evoq). I liked what I saw of the show car, but it looks like they really nailed it for production. Bravo!

Yeah, I think it is an overall great car. Not my taste, but hey, I wouldn't turn one down.

p.s.- Happy boifday Charlie

According to R&T this is the next Corvette platform. I can only say that I really like the styling, and the drivetrain sounds really kick-ass! I hope this brings Caddy back in the world of "players" in this market, 'cause (god knows) they've been gone a looooooooooong time.

I like the drivetrain in it. The engine is actually a DOHC and it has VVT! Caddy really does need to get back in, and this should help them plenty

Nice car, but not for $76,000. I can think of a few other cars i would like to drive.

One of my friend who works in Visteon drove it. He told me that this car got lots of electronics gadgets. Even door opener is eletronics. I really like the styling, but I just can't justify a domestic for over $80K.

I agree the price is high. It remains to be seen whether it can compete with the big boyz... From what I read, its price might be justified.

New issue of Motor Trend pits the SC430, MB SL500, and the XLR against one another. They gave the overall nod to the SL500, but for the $20k price difference the XLR was the champion by far. They also said that even excluding price, the XLR was very, very close to the MB SL500 in overall quality, dynamics, etc. which is extraordinarly impressive for a 'new' car compared to a classic Mercedes roadster that has been slowly evolving over the last 50 years!

This is GM's second world-class car of the last ten years. The first, of course, is the C5.

I wonder if Caddy has immediate plans to export this puppy. Asia will almost certainly have a strong appetite for this car... Hell, they get excited over Budweiser for goodness sake.

I may just have to pay a visit to a Caddy dealer in the next few months.

I simply cannot believe those words are coming out of my mouth (fingers).

I saw one in town the other night. Very very sleek, saw it at night so I didn't get a good glance at it. Very nice car. Very.
