I'd much rather have a G35 sedan for the same price than either of those. The Maxima with leather costs as much as a G35. For the SAME money, with the Maxima you get fwd and a Nissan instead of an Infiniti. Don't really understand why anyone who is even remotely an enthusiast would buy a Maxima...
Reportedly Hyundai has a way to go as far as luxury/SPORT sedans go, and even the 290hp 6cyl Genesis costs as much as the G35 (and outweighs it by 200 lb.).

G35 Sport 6MT all the way! Or an automatic model if the 'rents aren't up to manually shifting.

I'd pick a Genesis V8 over a Maxima. Think of it as a LS460 for half the price.

Oh, and good luck with the Expedition sale! I heard it's fetching quite a pretty penny these days.

I'd take the Genesis V8 over the Maxima or G35, but if you don't want to spend the extra $5k to get a loaded Genesis V8, then I'd probably hold out for the G37 sedan.
