Default Which car to get?

Hi guys,
this is the best forum i know for car opinions so here it is....
My friend is trading in his '09 g37 7 speed auto for either a 80-90k miles '07 RS4 audi OR a '10+ 370z (maybe nismo). His goals are to improve drivability and hes a true car guy. He likes the extra doors but i told him a true drivers car aside from maybe an EVO (modded), sti (modded) and maybe the rs4 your gonna want a coupe for twisties and track use, its just the way it is! What are your guys's thoughts on rs4 maint and or lack of space/power w the 370z?

i wouldn't say the 370z lacks power. the two cars have the same 0-60 and 1/4 mile times.

Personally the RS4 appeals to me more than the Z car.

That said for "fun" I'd probably rather have the Z car as the RS4 just won't have that sporty turn in feeling a good sporty car does.

Any reason not to get a new 5.O mustang instead? More space than the Z car more power than either I think and comparable handling to the Z. Well there is that inescapable mustang 'Merica image but if you can handle that they seem pretty nice!

I'd rather have a '10 S4 than a 07 rs4. Better mileage, similar performance, more reliable; etc.

No problem

Prices are very similar as well. Except the S4 will be 3 years newer, might have a warranty, & will be much lower on miles

More carbon buildup issues on the 4.2 motor in the RS4 as well. If he buys one make sure the previous owners has had it cleaned.

3 less years of use too. Is a 911 out of the picture for him?

I would probably have anything else besides a semi-high mileage RS4 unless I have the pocket / skills / time to do the maintenance

If the car is not on the road, then you can't enjoy driving. I really have a car that's running than a car with ultra high performance but will be in the shop a lot more.

Why not go with IPL G37S coupe? ISF with upgrade suspension?

B7 RS4 and B8 S4 are somewhat similar. RS4 is more unique and looks better in my opinion. A side from regular maintenance RS4 needs walnut shell blasting every 30k or so. must be prepared to do that at purchase.
