Default car maintenance question

So i have a v6 olds silhouette minivan. 170k miles
engine bay is tight and in order to replace the rear plugs the engine needs to be tilted forward. needless to say, it costs $600 to have the dealer do it and i have never had it done.

would it be bad to replace only the front 3 plugs and possibly wires that i can reach?
will mixing new and old plugs cause issues?

car isnt worth too much any more and i am trying to avoid sinking more money in to it.

thanks

do you know where car talk is?

to answer your question, it's not a good idea to just change the front three plugs, you wouldn't change half your oil would you?

OP - Wrong forum, maybe the mods will delete extraneous comments and move it for you?

If it's the same setup like the Lumina, with a couple of extensions it's not that hard of a job. Shoot me a pm and I can give you some pointers.

so is it really bad to only change half the plugs?

i understand half the oil, but a spark plug creates spark. and they dont interact. so would it really be detrimental?

i have a stutter when i am accelerating below 50mph. i wouldnt mind seeing if it is a fouled plug as a quick fix. it was a slight stutter before, and i put seafoam in the gas tank and oil, and now it is a stronger stutter.

would prefer to do easier fixes before looking at sensors and cats.

any help is appreciated.
