Default Car not starting

my roommate's accord is not starting and when he turns the ignition there are sparks from the negative battery connection where it grounds to the body of the car. Any idea what could be causing this? The battery is new, the car was working fine, but he was involved in an accident several weeks ago and got his car back within the last 2 weeks. Any ideas would be appreciated

Yep. Their appear to be sparks coming from where the negative battery cable grounds to the chassis. That would mean that it is not connected. It cannot spark if it is not loose. He is not getting a solid electrical connection.
