The CS puts down about 260 to the wheels, and the C6 is about 360. The weight difference is not significant between the two.

The '09 CS would be be my pick if you have the means, it should be closer to 280-290 rwhp

The CS is nice.

Not being able to heel toe easily sucks, although I think you could buy pedals that make it easier.

I went from a S2000 to a C6 and now I'm thinking of making a move to a CS. I'm worried I'm going to miss the power\acceleration coming from a C6. I haven't driven a CS but I plan on to soon. How do you compare the power and power delivery compared to the S2000?

Congrats and pics please!
S2000>>CS>>C6

The Cayman is significantly quicker than the S2K and the C6 is significantly faster than the Cayman.

I thought power would be a big issue for me moving from a tuned STi with 350whp/350wtq. However, when it comes down to it, a driving experience is more than just about power. The CS is thrilling in a way my STi never was and the C6 wasn't on my test drive.

It all comes down to personal preference though and there is no reason not to test drive just to see.

Supposedly the brake pedal is adjustable...I just need to get around to it. I don't know if I could fully appreciate the car otherwise.

I was able to heel toe my cousin's boxster S, which is basically the same. It's just not as easy as the S2000.

Maybe when I get tired of my 2nd S I'll have the financial balls to step up to a CS. Was sorely tempted when I got my current S instead. Congrats!

the more I read about the c6, it doesn't sound too bad. what used to be a car I considered "not my style" may be something to look at in a few years...

Dang, it seems like 1/2 of Car Talk regulars are buying Caymans! I had no problems heel/toeing in mine, and the interior was much, much more comfortable than the S. (tight interior was one of the reasons I got a new Miata instead of another S2000)

congrats! glad to see that you and i had very similar experience and view points

i've got the regular powered seats, and i've got a big ass, so i can tell you it's uncomfortable after a while but i drove 9 hours straight in it without causing any damage, so it should be OK. i'm 6'0"/210lbs.

did yours come with sports chrono or PASM?

Would anybody be able to comment about a comparison between a cayman s (stock) and s2000 (centrifugal supercharger/ coilovers / tires). My s2000 will be a fun car that I will occasionally dd and take to DE when I'm done this summer. I would like to get a cayman s or even a lightly used 07 gt3 when the new ones come out.
