Go for a CBR for a supersport with good day to day, all around experience. I have an R6, and although I grin everytime I look at how sexy it looks - the seat height is a bit high for 100% confidence in slow speed maneuvers (aka, parking lots, u-turns). Also, there's not enough power in the lower part of the rpm band - but when that thing finally kicks, it sure does go real fast.

I've had my CBR for almost a year now and I love everything about it. Power, handling, looks... what more can you ask for? The R6 is an amazing TRACK bike, but that's pretty much it. Look into the Ninja 6Rs, they're amazing bikes as well.
, but it was nice to go to the AMA races this weekend and cheer on all the Yamaha teams and see them win both classes the R6 was in

Street triple R is my next bike.

Regarding "SV650 is weak" comments from CapoArgentino above, I'm confident there are plenty of SV650 pilots that will walk you at the track! I may or may not be one of them...
