WHat's with the peak at 5000 rpm on the gixxer? that's a very strange torque curve, that would seem to favor the gixxer for around-town..more torque low, even if the peak is roughly the same.

Great bikes. both of 'em.

Well, I'm sure either bikes would have no problem in the torque department. 80lb ft of torque in a 400 pound bike is like having 600 pound ft in a 3000 pound car. Liter bike torque is like a drug.

It's nice to see Honda pulling all the stops to produce a total ass kicker rather than just settling to be the "practical, most well rounded" alternative.
