cbr1100
4500 if it's really clean and less than 15k miles, otherwise around 3500-4k. Those bikes are very reliable [XX blackbird] and although outdated cosmetically and to some extent mechanically they hold their value pretty good. I saw an 02 for sale locally with 7k miles for 5700 and I almost jumped on it but wtf am I going to do with 3 sport bikes.

Give one to me

I owned one.
Don't expect to kill a busa, the busa killed it for the top speed shortly after it came out. Don't expect to kill an R1 or a GSXR from the line, you won't be able to.
But if you want respectable power, wheelies in 3rd/4th, Honda ride comfort, Honda engineering, linked brakes that were done right (assuming they are still hooked up) then the Blackbird is the way to go.
Things you'll want to remember:
-Get the carbs synched every year.
-It will kill you if you aren't careful.
-K&N filters are different between the years and it will noticeably impact performance if you put in the wrong one.
-Google for the owners groups, there are 2-3 really good ones that, like all owners groups that are worth a sh!t, have really good info.
-Be prepared to invest in a rear tire every 6-8k. Pilot Sport SS are the best for this bike (you'll confirm that on the other owners sites)
-It will take you at least 3 months to get used to the linked brakes, it's a weird feeling but read up on it in the manual on how it works because it depends on which brake you hit, foot or front lever on how the linked system applies pressure. Don't be a schmuck and disconnect the link, they designed it right, just learn it and you'll never want to go back.
-Exhaust - there are numerous options for pipes but by far the loudest most insane are the D&D pipes on this thing. Ear bleeding loud.
-Undertail- Get rid of that stock POS plate bracket and get an undertail kit, you can find them on eBay but if you want to make sure you're getting a good one, feel free to shoot me a link before buying.
-Seat- you will find as you get more comfortable with it and open it up 100% in first that the stock seat will not hold you on the bike very well, get a better seat. The Corbin is OK but the Sargent is better, has a deeper pan for your ass.

3ngin33r1 , ride a cbr1100 much?

It's a pretty bullet proof bike, but what do you expect from a Honda?

Otherwise I would have bought my cbr600 a few weeks ago for dirt cheap.
