Default celica caught fire!

found this over at newcelica.org!!!

"The car started to get extremely hot. My friends were following behind me in a Honda Civic. All the sudden my buddy chirps me and says yo man youve got flames underneath your car. I turn around and all I see is a flame come right behind me. Turn around to look foward and my whole engine bay is on fire and within a few seconds where the pedals were flames shooting up towards me. My car is totalled. I just paided it off and went to liabialty. Toyota put a brand new motor in my car 6 months ago. Im guessing im gonna be taking a lawsuit up with toyota. I have to 100,000 powertain warranty none the less nothing like this should ever happen. Wiring gone interior gone. And I mean everything and what isnt gone is melted. Input would be appreicated. Since I cant go through my insurance company I believe. I will be posting pictures tomorrow of the whole car."

there are some pics to! they are in the genral discussion forum!

How did I know that someone would not catch the sarcasm and start defending Toyota..

It's pretty difficult to sense sarcasm over the Net, but I felt that what you said will get us laughed by at Toyota owners.

Funny, when the Z06 was on fire it was "GM's fault".

What an idiot. I can see maybe dropping collision coverage on a car you paid off that is only worth a few thousand. The collision part of your insurance policy is expensive. But why would you ever drop the comprehensive coverage? It's cheap.

Also, link to thread?

One time, a Honda dealership changed my S2000's oil and completely forgot to put the cap back on. On the drive back, I noticed something was not right, lifted the hood, oil was spilled everywhere. Needless to say, the cap was still sitting at the dealer. Luckily, it wasn't a fuel line.
