80k down the shitter.I went to an event and watched a 745i hit the cones followed by the LS430, A8, and S class. Lets just put it this way, if I had to go big the 7 would be IT. Especially one that booosted to all hell.

The 407hp, 450lb tq TT V8 motor should do wonders.
ok back to praise now... car looks good... i like it... tail lights could use some tweaking...
I love it...if it looks anything like that I will definitely own one especially with a blown V8. I hear lots of people knock BMW reliability but my 335 has yet to be in the shop for anything other than an oil change and it's been pushing 400RWHP for some time...my M3 is about to turn 80K miles and it's heavily modified and it hasn't been in the shop for anything but an oil change or routine maintenance/service for about 3 years.
[QUOTE=Onehots2k,Jan 28 2008, 06:41 PM] Look at it this way. Out of all its competitors it will be the "sports car" of the group. Not like she'll use its potential anyway.

I admit that initially this is a wonderful replacement for the existing 7 Series, and this car reminds me of the prior generation of the 7. I like the current S class more than the current 7, but this new model really moves the game on, returning BMW to the ranks of those manufacturers that builds some truly beautiful cars.
The grill is large, and we will have to wait and see what the final design looks like. However, BMW like all European manufacturers has to deal with new pedestrian collision regulations which have forced them to produce cars with more upright front ends. Consequently, they have to rework the grills; otherwise there would be vast expanses of uninterrupted metal which is ususally uninteresting as a design feature, particularly in the front end. The design solution is to make larger grill openings.
Barry, although I am gushing over a BMW product, remember I still am one of the few who liked the Phaeton.
