I remember back in 2007 you could get an 02 with <60K for 12-14, and these were asking prices. I also noticed that 02-03s in good condition with decent miles aren't depreciating.

That is gonna be rough going from 405 hp to 115. I couldn't do it going from a 300 hp 335i daily to a miata daily. In you price range I'd look at something like a E36 M3 or E46 ZHP.

I agree with this, that and you'll appreciate the extra cargo room versus the Miata while you're in school.

5th owner? Seriously, what's wrong with the car?

Being willing to take a $3,000 hit after 5 months of ownership isn't normal, unless there's something terminal with the car and you just want it gone. There are red flags all over the place here.

......... nothing wrong with it....... you have to be willing to take a loss to sell on craigs these days. unless your selling a honda fit or yaris with low miles. there were two 1 year owners and two 6 year (give or take) owners. your a great example of a know it all craigslister. Why would something inherently be wrong with no evidence? there is not a huge pool of middle income people where i live who are shopping for yellow z06s where i live. and those who are can afford new ones or c6s at $40k.

never been a BMW fan! dont wanna pay out the nose for maint. and why save a 1-5k cash in buying a 335i to lose performance and reliabiliy? the c5z is a way better car all around and im not getting rid of it to get into something slower for slightly less. goal is minimal investment, max fun!

I believe he just used his 335i as an example. His suggestions were the E36 M3 and E46 which are both pretty cheap on the used market but we all know why.

Any decent 335i is going to be 18-20K you can get a good E36 M3 or E46 330 for around 5-10K. Maintenance is not bad, just fluids for the most part unless you track it. C5Z has a god awful interior. Just saying for a few grand more than a Miata you can get a car that's more usable and has less of a HP deficit. I've owned 2 first gen Miatas in the past by the way, they are fun on a nice day with the top down but after a while driving a car that gets run over by minivans on highway on ramps gets old.

More changes to the plan boys! Got a $1,000 deposit for my Vette, dude has 30 days to pay in full. But before I get paid I'm borrowing a few extra$$$ and I'm driving 3hrs away to pick up a 2005 Pontiac GTO with 2,300 miles. That's not a typo boys. 2005 got the LS2 w 400hp/400tq and I read they have ultra comfy. They are pigs though and the suspension likes to crap out at higher miles but I can live with susp work if I have to
