It looks OK if you are into the retro. It won't be a star for long.

The people lining up for Hemi's has run out, that is why Chrysler has brough back employee pricing. Yes the timing is awful, and after the backlog of muscle car lovers runs out, sales will fall flat.

Saw a story on NBC news the other day about inventory turnover. The average Chrysler product sit on the lot an average of 83 days before it is sold. The longest in the industry. (GM and Ford were in the 60 some days) Honda and Toyota products were in the 30 day range.

Guess not as many people want a semi-quick guzzling Hemi powered giant car, or a slow guzzling V6 powered giant car as they thought. The small Caliber is selling well.

didn't GM just stop making the GTO? It was a 400hp 4000lb pig. How is this car all that much different? It looks slightly neater, but will have very similar everything else.

I would rather go with the SRT8 Jeep.

OMG I can't believe as many (any) people like this car.

It says something that it makes both the GTO and the Mustang look light and nimble by comparison.

This is going to weigh 4200+ lbs (?) in the SRT-8 form (I bet). Who on earth would not get a 300C or Charger if they were forced at gunpoint to drive such a car in the first place?

:rant off:

Christ that thing is ugly. I most certainly don't dig the American Muscle Car look... Why rehash the same old "box" look?

Shame... so very little innovation in my opinion (just my opinion... seems like others really do like how it looks like).
It's not like the Japanese are making any great styled cars right now. I think the challenger looks a lot better then what's coming out of Japan.

it will take 3-4years for gm engineering to squeeze out a more appropriate design. in the mean time they will make people wonder why they didnt go out of business the other day. ugly/bad.

I am sick and tire of these retro designs. Can they make something new and attractive? Getting inspiration from older cars is one thing, shamelessly copying the styles of the old cars is just downright lazy.

No wonder GM is in so much trouble nowadays.

Well if you are going to re-introduce an old name plate then there needs to be some continuity. Also they need to take advantage of the retro trend while it's hot. That wouldn't have worked 10 years ago and won't 10 years from now.

I am not a great fan of the rear because it looks too much like the original which was ugly then, but there's a saying that if you live long enough what's old becomes new again.

I sure wish they'd learn to build smaller, lighter cars that weren't trash.

I don't think it'll be as big as some of you are saying. It just looks very bulky. the 300C is 4000 lbs and 196" long. I don't think the Challenger will be any bigger than that.

In any case, I'd still want one because it serves to be the Yin to the S2k's Yang

How about a betting pool? Everybody throw in $5 and a guess at how many days before Chrysler starts to put incentives on them. I would guess about 5 months tops.
