They're nearly the same weight, about 2700 pounds, and you get a lot more utility in the Si. I have an Si, so I'm biased, but some advantages I see are:

-- far fewer of them on the road than the RSX
-- great seats and seat material (Alcantara)
-- hatch will swallow surprisingly large things
-- generally lower price ('04s are going for about $17K OTD these days)
-- (H) badges

You do get a better warranty with the RSX, and probably get to deal with more pleasant dealerships/service departments. For me, I like the no-nonsense European hatch character of the Si, as opposed to the somewhat slicker Japanese luxury character of the RSX. I *love* my Si and wouldn't trade it for an RSX, but it's up to you to decide which suits you better.

Let me know if you have any specific questions.

RSX!

My girlfriend just leased a RSX Type S. This is a car I almost bought before my S2K. After a test drive, she was sold (and before, she didn't want to consider any Honda/Acuras). Obviously, the Type S is better than the Si or regular RSX, but I do think the regular RSX is better than a Civic Si. It has better looks and a better warranty. Of course, you can always get the FHP package for the Si, and then, it becomes a better car.

* RSX *

I had an Si, trust me, in a long run, RSX will hold its value much better. It's a much better car by all means.

I like the seat in the Si too, but RSX is just as nice and I don't think you should buy a car 'cause it has a nicer looking seats. Quality wise, Si was the worst fit and finnish car I've ever owned, breaks s*uck, couldn't stand it ..sold it after 3 months.

Yes, I forgot to mention you can't really leave the car stock. Springs (or coilovers) are a must, and a different rear wing makes the car look less like an egg. At least the '04s have decent rims and tires though. After you do a few things to it, it's looks and handles much better. By the way, here's mine (an '03):
