Default Corvette C6 has upgrades suspension?

I read somewhere that the C6 vette has adjustable dampening suspension via driver input. I was always under the impression that they used leafsprings in the back. Or is the system used in conjunction. I would not be able to imagine the system working together since the leafsprings would completely negate the adjusted dampening.

Info please...

The C6 uses a TRANSVERSE mounted composite leaf spring that is ride height adjustable. Look into it a little further, I think your idea of what the "leaf springs" on a Corvette look like and how they work might be a little off.

I hope more people read this thread so they stop saying how the Corvette's suspension rivals F150s in technology.

If you're talking about "Magnetic Selective Ride Control" then those are the shocks, not the springs.

The F55 option on Corvettes has magnetic fluid in the shocks and are controlled by driver selection.
"The optional F55 Magnetic Selective Ride Control suspension adds to the Standard suspension magneto-rheological dampers that are able to detect road surfaces and adjust the damping rates to those surfaces almost instantly for optimal ride and body control."
Corvette info
Here are some pics that show the rear suspension pretty well.
In the first pic you can see the "leaf spring" pretty well, it is just below and forward the sway bar in the center of the pic and runs up over the lower control arms. Where the spring meets the lower control arm it has an adjustment bolt that can raise or lower the ride height.

How is that? It looks exactly like I thought it would. I just didnt know how it would work with shocks since its a semi-stiff metal bar.

As was said the adjustments are in the shocks. The Vette has had adjustable shocks for a number of years. The magnetically adjusted ones are new. The old ones used adjustable orifices in the shocks. The new ones magnetically change the viscosity of the shock oil.
As for the leaf spring, unless you want to change the spring rate the leaf is a better spring than coils for many reasons.

Coil springs, like what the S2000 has, are made from semi-stiff metal bars. Why do you think that would negate the effect of dampening from the shocks?

The Vette spring isn't metal.

Even if it did "rival F-150s", it still walks all over all kinds of other sports cars for less money, with more power. If that's the argument, than knowing what the Corvette really does on a track, I'll take it.
