Another thing:

They blew that car up. Pushing that much whp through that engine will do that.

I personally know a couple of guys with 600 whp Evos and they are always having to find new and creative ways to keep the thing alive.

The truly amazing thing is that there are plenty of 500 whp 2.0L Evos running around as daily drivers and holding up to it. Anything more is really too much to ask.
