Default CTS-V vs M5

Road & Track comparo

Track times were closer than I thought they would be. However, it looks like Heinricy didn't get the last corner figured out and the 3+ mph he lost there before the long straight really cost him a lot of time.

CTS looks competitive for now.

I wish Cadillac would make an n/a LS3 version available.

Very impressive for the CTS-V and both brands brought top drivers. No unfairness detected. Of course they were benchmarking a new design versus a 3-year-old design. Looks like the war is on.

Which is okay, but not nearly as nice as the CTS. It would be nice for Caddy to have a V8 CTS to compete with the 550i, E550, GS460, etc. If CTS 3.6 competes with the 530i/535i, E350, GS350, etc (as Caddy wants it to with it's "5-series size for 3-series $$" mantra,) wouldn't it make sense to compete with the regular V8 models too, instead of skipping that step and going straight for the M5 and E63?
