Spotted this "Mule" last week in Death Valley (1 Sept 14) with 2 techs in it. They were parked, motor off, and appeared to be running tests on a couple of super laptops wired to the car. As I walked up, they covered the steering wheel and dash. Trial run for the heat I would wager; it was 118 F.

 

Mercedes Benz GLK is my guess. Here are pictures of the new GLK, looks very similar:

The front end, even though covered/distorted looks very Ford to me.

I saw a mule shot of the Mercedes but the wheels were off. Some have suggested its the new Honda Pilot; I think it might be.

 

Looks like a Ford product to me. Very well covered up. A close up on the wheel would've been nice.
