Mitsubishi Galant (AT) 4cyl 00-Now 322.5 HP 268.7 WHP
Mitsubishi Galant (AT) 6cyl 00-Now 323.8 HP 272.1 WHPp
Mitsubishi Lancer (MT) 4cyl 01-Now PENDING PENDING
Toyota Camry (MT) 4cyl 91-01 227.3 HP 191 whp
Dodge Stratus R/T (MT) 6cyl 01-Now 379.6 HP 319 WHP

The freakin v6 eclipse has 200 hp at the crank stock. Averages 165 at the wheels. They are now pushing over 400 on stock internals. They have to replace the headers and put on a catback, but still.

They have a guy on their message board running 12's, might be in the 11's now. He did have to put on a kazaa diff for those numbers though.

No, as a matter of fact they aren't. Ripp HAS made those hp numbers. I had a 3g eclipse before my S2k, and several people have dyno's to prove the numbers.

I just find it depressing that they can squeeze that much hp out of a car that is built on a sedan chasis. That car handled like a whale but it blows alot of cars away off the line with that super charger. I bought the s2k for handling so straight line isn't that big a deal to me, but still I just find it depressing that I could be blown away by a friggin 3g boat eclipse. (gotta remember this is the first or secong gen eclipse, not even in the same class).

It's apparantly not powerful enough to save Mitsubishi Motors from bankruptcy...

doesn't depress me...some engines are easier to get power out of...doesn't make it better or worst.

the 6g72 motor is a bitch to get power out of safely. The heads are poreous, the clutch is weak. The ECU leans out the car if boost is introduced frying pistons.
