voice command is everywhere from controlling the stereo to telling the nav where to go or where u want to eat. it never seems to work reliably, imo.

does anyone actually use it or do u just manual enter the data?

I've had voice command for 2 years in my car and 4+ years on my PDA, I never use it. I tired many times, its just not "ergonomic" and generally problematic is the best term I use for it.

i had it on my '06 tl and it was only useful when showing off to corolla and elantra owners. it had that "cool" factor. but in reality, it took longer to set the temp using the voice command than me reaching over and hitting a button a few times. the only useful "voice command" was the hands free bluetooth. that was awesome.

I use it for phone dialing, defrosting/CC combos, and some basic navigation (eg "find nearest..." or "go home" or rerouting)... other than that, a well-laid out dash is faster, easier, and no less distracting.

my buddy uses it all the time in his accord coupe (nav and such) but i think he just likes it for the cool factor.

my 'climate control' adjustments are much faster in the S2000.

No. I thought I would but I don't. Manual entry is faster.

In our 05 RL we use it for inputing navigation destinations and phone commands. For the navi, it's significantly quicker than turning the dial letter by letter.

In my own personal experience, the Acura unit is one of the best ones I've had the pleasure of using. The one in our 06 LS430 was a bit harder to use since it really isnt that intuitive.
