Dont' let this happen to you
Once in 2001 I ate shit in turn one in Willow Springs. I ran off the track and remember seeing a ditch and pufff> I woke up in the hospital don't remember anything. They said I was almost awake the whole time and asked 19 times: Where is my bike?
The bike had once side rashed up and that's it. I sold it that time $500 less than the market value. My Haga Arai lid was demolished cause, after I flew off the bike, it ran over my head(Tire marks on the helmet).
So my experience, that guy in Laguna S. is most likely still in better shape than the guy on the street hitting a car, tree, curb, etc....
Oh man I sounded like one of those track instuctors.. lol.

Not to rub on you but I had a blast that Sunday, decent weather, I learned the lines pretty quick, afternoon some people crashed and some people left, so I had even less hold up by newbies.
Next date is Feb 6th(Monday) Trackdaz Bigwillow, I'm by myself so you can join.
I'll be also doing 17th and 27th. Depending on weather and me leaving the previous date in one piece.
I got this awesome deal on a brand new 05 Smx1 Alpinestars suit and it's arriving on friday, can't wait to break it in.

Btw Kekoa, it was totally change of plans this weekend. First of all California Speedway was sold out and I couldn't get place. Then I found out about Buttonwillow Trackdaz event. Signed up. Then my buddy calls me and tells me he is coming to watch and he owns a truck, I was like score! for Kekoa. I call him back an hour later to confirm, he tells me his ex-wife dumped the kids on him for the weekend. I was bummed.

At Willow I would be running sport group. At Buttonwillow I ran street group, since I've never been on that track. It was also fun passing people left and right. Out of twentysomething people I was the fastest guy. Now in Sport group, some people are going to zoom by me hehehe. It doesn't scare me somebody even putting a nasty pass on me though. Also if I sense or hear somebody on my tail, I slow down on the straight away so they can pass me easily.
Also I think it's better to have faster riders around you, safer and better chance learning lines.
