Default Drove a new Eclipse

Had some free time , so I stopped by an dealership yest and took out a new Ecplise V6. Its a pretty nice car, with the exception of the $28k price tag and the annoying hum of the exhaust system. The front window slits are a cool feature, and the body is really nice.

I just can't believe it costs more than an Accord EX coupe...

I can't believe they'll sell to many 6's if they cost 28K. Holy crap. Isn't this the sort of thing that did the 5th gen Prelude in?

Yeah $28k is a lot, but Ecilipse GS-X w/Leather was like $30K. It did have AWD though.

Mitsu will lose their ass on this IMO. Mitsu quality and service suck. Sorry would never buy or consider another mitsubishi product. Poorly designed.

$28k? Wasn't this supposed to compete with the RSX-S? Not only is it more expensive, it handles worse, weighs more (uses more gas), and is slower.

For $28k, I'd get a nice 350z!

Isn't the eclipse like the best selling sports coupe the last 10 years or something?? Even though its crud, it still sells well.

I heard it handles pretty well and is decently faster then an RSX. Someone could drive both back to back and write up a comparison.
