Love your S set up! I miss my GPW Mugen S2K.

We were there that day to support some friends at the track who also happens to own an s2k and Duc as well--LOL
I almost bought an 848 tri-color, but just couldn't really get into it. The bike needs a lot of space to really make use of it. Nothing wrong with that, just that my Daytona 675 seemed to be much better for the type of riding i wanted.
but i really like the 848. Good addition to the line. the 1098, 1198, 1199 are all amazing bikes too...just honestly way too big for me and most people to actually use outside of a track on a regular basis.

Seems a whole lot more stiffer, the throttle response (ride by wire) is so smooth and light as is the brake and clutch feel. It simply has so much shove, in sport mode (195HP lo) that 6th on the freeway at 110K's is around 4000rpm and any twist of the throttle is enough. Its really so effortless. The 848 needs around 5 or 6 grand on the tach to feel like its ready. The 1199 is good from startup. Really is.
Maybe, the S with Ohlins there are a few little niggles, like the placement of the rear shock setup but overall, its a smaller smooth feeling bike in comparison to the 848. Not yet ridden in race mode (195HP HI).
Farkn Oath I do....Having had experience on the M696, Streetfighter 848 and SBK 848 Evo, the 1199 is just a whole new level. The 848's like a few rev's. This thing, just ready to go. I simply love it, everytime I twist the throttle is makes me grin.
