EVO8 or 350z?
Hi guys, I have sold my s2k and I got myself a almost brand new 350z for very very cheap.
But I don't like it as much as my s....I miss it.
however, I can't just go back to s....I want something different. So, I was thinking an Evo and some one actually wants to trade my z for it. so, besides the 4 dr and 2 dr. more room and etc....
which one is better over all?
Which one has a better motor and tranny and etc?
let me know guys.
thanks
John.

Well, don't be a stranger to these forums!! I would say the Evo motor is better then the 350z. The ability of already turboed cars, awd, and what not. The overall package I give it to the Evo hands down. However, if you are somewhat sastified with your S2000 power level and just wanted a little more grunt then I believe the 350z would be good. Hopefully that helps.

I've driven both, I bought an Evo.
Unfortunately my Evo is riddled with problems and is being bought back under the lemon law.
If I were you now... I'd buy an '05 MR with the 6spd tranny. I would not, however, modify it until the warranty is up if you want ANY (and I mean ANY) kind of warranty service.
PM me if you want some more info. I recommend the MR because of the 6spd, and not because it has an extra gear... but because it's a different design than the 5spd which is the root cause of the dreaded p0300 issue.

I've got two friends who both have Evos, who both have tracked 'em, too...and not one single problem between the two of them.
If I ever binned my car the first thing I'd do would be to go score a new Evo. It'll kick the crap out of the Z on the track AND it'll haul 4 adults and one kid!

Hi, thanks for the info guys, well I want the Evo rather than this Z also. But here's the problem now. He owes 25000 on his car....wow, what step does he have to take before we can do this trade? Sorry, I am only in college, and don't know too much about these kind of fund issues.
thanks
John.

But I don't like it as much as my s....I miss it.In the fun factor, you will miss the S; the Z won't be as satisfying. I've heard the Evo is quite fun to drive daily. I just can't get over its looks.

The Zed is a good car, but has nowhere near the 'fun-factor' of the S2K...at least when stock. However, I also wouldn't be able to get over the EVO's looks, so I'd get a Zed over one.
