Default Exige Prices

I'm interested in picking up a 2006-2007 Exige.

I've been reading the forums for a while (exiges.com, lotustalk, etc).

The thing is -- and this is a frustrating first -- I am having a hard time coming up with a real price point. Edmunds.com has no information, not all that surprising given the volume. The range is rather wide on the Lotus forums -- and with good reason as those folks have a vested interest in keeping the prices inflated.

This being an impartial forum, what do you all think an 06-07 Exige with less than 30k can be picked up for?

*Sidenote -- yes I know what the car is, how it drives, how small and uncompromising it is etc. As it happens I've cleared out enough motorcycles to make room at the back of the garage for another toy and this one is about as close as I can get to a motorcycle while remaining in a cage.

From my modest studying, seems like they're asking mid to high 30's for the 06, but selling more in the low 30's- 32-33k

07s are supercharged, seem to be asking high 30's to low 40's, but going in the 36k-39k range

On the flip side, the 05-06 Elises can be had for 25-28k no problem.

Looking at completed sales on eBay is a good way of assessing real world car prices.

Thanks folks. Appreciate the Ebay suggestion -- but I have read numerous stories of failed sales after the fact -- which in fact further validates the earlier comments.

You guys rock. -Steve

price on these cars is highly effected by your geographic location as well!

i personally like the elise SC over the exige, more creature comfort but still a pure sports car.

an 07 with 30k is OUTRAGEOUS for my region ( new england) and would be valued low, but if your in like cali or something id expect to pay 40k for one,

My friend is selling his '07 Exige S w/ 8k miles through the dealership he bought it from.
He's hoping for $42k I believe.

A clean well equipped 06 Exige should still go for around 35-37K. There just aren't that many of them out there and if you want a specific color, options, geographic region the choices are slim.
