for the ppl that had lasik done, how well can you see now, and how bad were your eyes before. Ive heard ppl say that they had 20/200 vision and after they had 15/20 vision, but then again i always hear the doctors say that your likelihood of getting perfect vision again is unlikely.

I was ~20/70 in one eye, 20/80 in the other, and corrected to 20/20 w/ glasses. 20/15 after LASIK, better than I ever tested w/ or w/o correction previously!

I say forget the naysayers, it's well-proven technology by now, and I don't know a single person who's had it done that regrets it (even the one or two who had to go back for "fine tuning").

I've ridden with glasses and a helmet and had no problem, fortunately for me, if it gets too bad, I can take the glasses off, my vision isn't bad enough to where I have to wear glasses. But I think a good fitting helmet definately keeps the glasses from moving around too much.

I just had Lasik done last Friday, the Weather has been too nasty to ride my bike but I love it so far.

BTW, I'm nearly 40 and have had to deal with glasses and/or contacts for 30 years. They are a Pain in the A**!

The first thing I can say just driving a car is the much improved peripheral vision. I'll report my results soon after a spirited ride on the VFR. Looking forward to it!

No big deal, but hey, whatever you can do to improve your odds.
