Default Favorite Car themed Youtube Channels

I saw this posted on Autoblog that Edd China is going to launch a car restoration YouTube channel, teaser here:

https://youtu.be/G-HL0oHeSbE

And
there are quite a few good channels out there (and we have had a couple people trying to boost their new YouTube presence here on this website).

I watch a bunch of them. I like a couple Canadian kids and their "Straight Pipes" channel. I really enjoy SavageGeese and a whole bunch of others. A couple that have kind of faded from new videos in a while is a german dude that goes by "The Getawayer" and some Motor Trend videos like Head to Head and so forth.

Which channels do you enjoy?

I enjoy Everyday driver as well. Can't believe the tall guy bought an Elise as a daily.

There are a few that I watch and I can't remember the names of them all but lots of good ones by the Brits and a couple Aussie ones too. You got your random Autocar, Drive, Evo, etc. I especially like a couple of the Brit reviewrs but I don't know their names. England seems to have a better car culture with the average person than the US IMO.

Tavarish has a great channel, where he buys cars that have issues and fixes them up. He's working on a twin-turbo Lambo Gallardo that caught fire (nearly done) - it was great! He's pretty mechanically inclined and has done some pretty amazing stuff so far.

Savage Geese is thorough but he has the personality of a potato. I like his analysis and feedback but he's just boring to watch/hear.

I actually enjoy Motor Trend's channel - Head-2-Head, mainly - but other than that, I don't watch many others. I do follow F1 and MotoGP on Youtube as well.

Straightpipes - pair of Canadian boys in Toronto - excellent reviews and camera work- Entertaining as hell. Jakob and Yuri go for a car ride.
Savagegeese - for a petrol head who wants to see underbody/suspension/build information from a real driver, dripping with sarcasm, this is your channel. I really like his reviews- he rags on the bullshit that manufacturers spew at press releases and cuts them down for it- he doesn't sugar coat his reviews. For real fun, watch his skewering of the Ford Escape- "when car reviews go wrong". Entertaining as hell, especially when Turbowski comes along.

Engineering Explained - He has some pretty cool videos if you are geeky like I am, and since he is a car guy ,they are pretty much all related to automotive tech. He also owns a yellow AP1 so that helps!

Peterolicious (although their titles are all kinda corny!)

Jalopnik

Finnegans garage

Roadkill, but they dont put any new episodes on youtube. There are tons of old ones on there though

Dirt Everyday

I am sure I will think of more later .... When I have the remote, I pretty much only watch youtube.

And for us gearheads and geeks, while not a car related channel, you have to at least try out AvE (including his Boltr series) . While he is a funny beer drinking Canadian, he also really knows a lot when it comes to equipment and his tool teardowns are great.

Even though Engineering Explained knows his stuff, I fell off his videos because the white board format gets so boring and dry at times.

Weirdly enough, I haven't found many US based vloggers i like that much. I find myself watching vlogs from overseas car guys in the UK and Japan. It's interesting seeing the different lifestyles/cultures/car cultures that they capture. The USA seems so boring in comparison.

DannyDC2: UK based vlogger. K20 ITR track car w/ tons of ongoing/changing project/DD cars (E46 M3, E36, K20 MRS, Volvo, K20 EG). Humble dude who doesn't pretend he knows everything by any means, but drives the crap out of his cars. Awesome Nurburgring videos!! Watching him go from FWD track car to taking up drifting and now incorporating everything he's learned into his current cars has been fun to watch.
https://www.youtube.com/user/Y0RKSHRE

Noriyaro: Alexi, Aussie vlogger living in Japan with content 99% comprised of drifting. He's a pretty famous youtuber, and he's fluent in Japanese so his videos give a great insight into the drifting world and Japanse car events in general. https://www.youtube.com/user/noriyaro

Sammit: Another Aussie vlogger living in Japan w/ japanese wife. Mods and drifts his R33.4. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC8z...mDLx9vlF1VqTeg

Performance Cars: Another UK based Honda vlogger. I found myself falling off of his videos recently but this was just another channel i used to watch frequently because it gave an interesting view into the UK world. I loved seeing all the different Type R's that they get over there! He used to do a lot of reviews on modded Hondas which were cool. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCwG...sEqU4YMR3Ha6lw

Speed Academy: Less Vlog, more modification/build based videos. These 2 Canadian based guys crack a lot of jokes while building fun cars. They've got more than 1 project car going at any time so content doesn't get too stale. They build all sorts of cars, but have love for Honda (they've built a K20 EK and are building a K20 240SX currently). https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCKn...iMjXNWFnYCAXlw

Some USA based channels:

SuperSpeedersRob: This guy is not for everyone, but i like how 100% real and straight up he is with his viewers. Owns a lot of nice cars, among them a NA2 NSX. Doesn't take himself too seriously and has a lot of fun at times (purchased a stanced Miata just for fun which was both a hilarious and eye opening video). https://www.youtube.com/user/superspeedersRob

Nick Murray: USA based, New Zealander. Euro Car/Porsche videos (911 mainly). Less serious and less dry, (I like those kind of videos). Haven't been watching him too long but he's gone from an M4 to 991.1 C2S PDK to 991.2 C4S 7spd so it's been educational for 911 related information and shopping needs. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdS...7hIeOxWVacg9FQ

Whenever i want to learn how to do repair something, i usually find myself pulling up a video from South Main Auto Repair, Eric the Car Guy or ChrisFix:

Eric the Car Guy channel #1: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_q...EBSHqKzAP_8x_A

Random Channels:

Formula1 Official channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCB_...dFVKSF9Dmo6izg
Real Tool Reviews: One of the best channels I've stumbled upon for tool reviews. Straight to the point with the information regular guys need (often comparing low end tools to high end tools). https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCa8...3e8twF5RpdFgyg

I really enjoy Doug Demuro's Channel. The cars he highlights are really cool, and you get to see things about them only an owner would discover.
