Default Which Ferrari?

I just saw a black Ferrari on the freeway this evening. It was very nice and clean. I think it's from the 80's; perhaps the 512 Testarossa? But it was extremely wide, almost as wide as an F150 truck. It was a very nice car, but I was confused of which Ferrari it was.

Yep, it was one like this. But in person, it's extremely wide. Oh, and the one I saw had beautiful aftermarket wheels.

That's a 94 512 TR brother... I ran into one of those the other day and didn't want to be a dick so I didn't revv at him... he was enjoying his car, but I wonder how my M would faired against it. E46 M3 vs 94 512 TR... I was trying to bait him, but he didn't want to hit the gas.

That yellow one in the picks isn't a '94 512 TR. It's older than that. It's prolly a 1980's Testarossa. The 512 TR succeeded the Testarossa in like '92 or something. It is substantially the same car as a Testarossa but just a further development/update. Think 550 Maranello v. 575M.

No, the Testarossa and the 512 TR were a FLAT 12 of about 5 liters. I'm only guessing, but I think the Testarossa was putting out about 375 h.p., and the 512 TR put out a bit more. By today's standards, the Testarossa isn't all that quick. I thnk it was high 5's or low 6's 0-60. I've also read that the 308 was a bit of a slug by today's standards, maybe mid to high 7's 0-60. Keep in mind, very few cars were fast by today's standard's in the 1980s. Hell, Vettes were only putting out 245 h.p. until they got the LT1 in 1992...

underrated - i think 308's ran mid 15's in the qtr..... then 328's were a little bit faster, slightly more modern looking......... then....the 348 is most likely what you ran against.....they will run about 13.8-14.2ish....

there was a comparo of the syclone vs a 348 drag racing... the syclone won at 14.0 vs 14.1 or something like that.

I think the testarossa's were low 13's..... but like stated above, almost no car from the mid 80's was really very fast compared to shit today..........

Testaroosa's are very cool looking..... if i were to buy a ferrari (why?) i would think that would be the one to get.... $60k or so for a low mileage version!
