What was the gig? What band do you play in, and what instrument? STI seems like an especially nice car if you're a gigging musician (well, maybe still too small for a drummer depending on the size of your kit).

I got a loaded Aspen White with Gold BBS pkg for $31288 out the door (Heuberger Motors in CO Springs). Keep in mind, no sales tax as a MT resident so that helped keep the cost down. MSRP on my window sticker is $40,145. Call Dave Anthony if you are interested, they had 31 STI's but were down to less than 10 when I picked mine up.

They also gave me 0%/63 mo financing with nothing down (need credit score 700+), AND took in my 07 STI Limited on trade. The entire process/transaction could not have been easier, we reached an agreement by phone before I drove down there and they did not try to pull any tricks when I arrived.

If you want an STI, the time is now, but act fast!

I opened for GLO @ Stubbs both nights. I'm their DJ. When I play at clubs and what not, whether in town or out, I only need bring my wax and headphones. For the big shit I tote my mixer, turntables, the works so the car does nicely. There is a heap of room back there.

I can't believe how many people are buying STIs! My buddy bought an 06 or 07 STI Limited from the US and its great because it's got the low lip spoiler instead of the huge wing, as well as a sunroof. For some reason Canada got the shaft on being able to buy an STI with a sunroof.

I wouldn't be surprised if I picked one up in a year or two to supplement the S, as I think it's a much better alternative to getting an SUV or pickup truck.

Sounds like some great deals to be had on these cars, it's a good thing I refinanced my S2000 recently and locked myself in for the duration of the loan or else I'd be tempted to consider a change...

Wow this is an insane deal, thanks for the head's up, Tommy. I wonder if I missed the party? Also didn't know the AP was so beneficial to the MPGs, that was one of the biggest issues with the STi for me, awesome to hear there's a silver bullet.

PS- I'm a HUGE GLO fan, going to see them in NYC on 12/12. Are you going to be in town for that?

is this really neccesary?? Id like to hear your take on it since you have an 07 sti (which "supposedly" is plagued with the same problems)Ive been reading on nasioc quite often now and it only seems to have affected a TINY i mean TINY population of the 08 sti community. Those who have had bad ringlands were most likely due to the bad tune it had in the first place and that it was not a manufacturers defect in the composition of the piston itself. I mean the main thread describing this so called problem is only 3 pages long with more than half of those only inquiring about the problem and not even experiencing any symptoms whatsoever.
Very necassary and def. worth the money. The factory tune is rough on the motors, and the pistons are not that stout. I got my cobb ap2 at 1500 miles and I have had zero issues (that i know about). I have heard that even the ots maps on the ap2 are NOT safe enough. This is why I got protuned asap. It sucks because you take the risk of voiding your warranty, but if you do not tune it you will probably have to deal with warranty claims due to failures. I am running a cobb dp to the stock catback, great setup for a daily driver.

Dunno yet. Seattle and NYC are up in the air for me right now.
