Man, I'd love to have that as my beater instead of the crappy 93 Prelude Si I've got now...

Mind if I ask what you paid?

[Edit] Oh...and don't forget the pics when you get it
I paid $2700; my son says it's a steal, and I'm inclined to believe him. My previous car was a 1989 Toyota Celica GT, which I bought new in 1989 and drove until last summer. I sold it for $1660, despite an almost dead clutch and transmission (both original), and 165,000 miles on the engine (also completely original). The All-Trac has 96,000 miles, the body's in good shape, and it has a new clutch. My son says that it drive very well, with no sign of drive train problems, and the compression test was excellent. With luck it should be a fun beater for some years.

I'll post pictures when I get the car; I haven't seen it yet!

I have no idea what the KBB is on that car but it seems like a great deal because I'd gladly pay that much to always have as much fun as I did in my old friend's All-trac--especially because they're such a rare to find these days.

You know what'd make a nice winter beater? A new RL! Drove one today and it was so nice, comfortable and planted on the road with that SH-AWD. It'd make a very nice beater, even nicer than a non-beater it's supposed to accomodate.

Nice find. Sounds like a great deal!

Those cars are pretty quirky and some replacement parts for it are both expensive and very hard to find. But it sounds like your son is already well-versed in the car, which is a big plus.

I love my beater, too- '95 GS-R. It's nice to leave the S2000 in the garage when it's raining or cold. Plus no more rock chips and bugs splatters from interstate driving.

My son has now put two All-Tracs back together, an '88 and a '90, including pulling engines, replacing a clutch, nad now is contemplating replacing a head gasket and rings. I think it will be helpful to have him not too far from home.

$2700, wow, thats a good price!

I love All-Trac Turbo's, however, I would be hating life when it comes time to replace that clutch! It is one of the biggest pain in the ass!
