Default Finally got a winter car...

Not really the most impressive vehicle, but picked up a 2007 Suzuki XL-7 with 13k miles on it for a little over $9000 not bad for a car that is $27k new

Now I don't have to do this anymore, or worry about getting stuck in parking lots

Where you at in SLC? I lived in PC for 13 years and didnt dare take my s2k out during the winter months. Fortunately I had a GTI as well so I could just drive that around while the snow was falling.

This was last year in Taylorsville (I was renting a place with friends), now I've got a condo in Holladay.

Whats funny is that even though my rear-end would always be sliding all over the place (even with snow tires) I never got in a wreck, or even close to getting into one, but my roommate with a GTI got into one, my roommate with a A4 got into one, and my roommate with an Accord got into one... It snowed just about every day last winter. And now that I have an AWD vehicle, it hasn't snowed hardly at all

I'm actually from Charlotte... just out in Utah for work/school, so I know exactly what you are talking about... Can't wait to get back there.

I live in SLC, and I DD from downtown to Layton every morning. Never had an issue. Winter tires+TCS FTW!! Except right now, when some of the days are warmer and sunnier, I'm stuck with the squeamish things. Summer, come on!

Wash out your undercarriage well if you DD during winter. They salt like crazy here. I was fortunate enough to have a 4WD winter beater.
