I saw this last night. It's generally a good-looking machine, but a little short of what I expected from him. I was hoping he'd do more with the tail lights and exhaust. And I agree that while the grill is well made, it is not quite where his initial sketch was at, which I think was better.
The other detail I really do not care for is the guage cluster...two sets of needle-swinging testicles hanging in front of my face while I'm driving. Not a pretty site. The cluster also looks too draggy, aftermarket custom for me.
In general, it has most of Foose's subtleness baked in. And it's about as good as a production-level design can be in terms of ease of mass production. If it were me buying one though, I'd change several things.
EDIT: What did everyone think of Foose's work on the 95 Civic on OverHaulin'? I think it came out alright, but that too didn't quite hit my personal finish line for his work. Then again he is a rodder, not a Sport Compact type...

***hello, very look time lurker, first time poster, (posted twice or so long time ago so I am s2ki virgin in my eyes)***
that car is teh sex. look at the stance...always loved that about foose, he could give a 4wd corolla a kick ass stance. the interior of that thing is so beautiful. not so fond of the paint job id take it in black too. that car is worth every bit of the 124 k if u factor in everything

I thought the color scheme was odd - not what I'd want on my tuner car. It reminded me of an old Dodge Omni GLH or something.
I liked what they did mechanically though, and the sound system seemed impressive.
That kid did alright - I wish someone had done that to our Civic before it died. It would have been worth a lot more than $750.
That was the first Japanese car I've seen Foose do on that show, so unless he's done one before, this episode was unusual in that fact alone. Usually he's tricking out a Chevelle or a 56 Chevy or some other hot rod/muscle car. Foose does insane work in general, and most of the products that come out of that show are smokin'
The Civic I don't think turned out as well because the interior I think got less attention than usual. But then again, it is an interior built on 90s thinking, so there is no ornamentation to work with, like there is in an old Ford or Chevy. In general, for not being a Sport Compact builder, Foose did just fine. But there are some other things that could've been done to that car.
