What would rather buy? the 500/500 Ford GT or the 477hp/472-TQ GT2. The Porsche weighs 200 lbs less so the power to weight is about even (maybe the porsche as a slight edge).

 

After seeing the TopGear video I'll have to vote Ford GT

 

I'd go with the GT but paint that sucker black.

The biggest knock I have against the GT2 is that, to the average joe, it looks like a regular 911. No worries about that with the GT, so it gets my money. Either one is more than fast enough

 

As much as I love Porsche as a company, based on reviews of both vehicles and an undeniable viceral draw, I must go with the GT!

 

tough call. the weight difference is actually over 300lbs. The GT2 can easily and cheaply put out 700 horsepower and get down to under 3000lbs. The GT2 will also probably outbrake the GT by a pretty big margin considering the extra weight and the fact that porsches usually outbrake just about everything else.

I have driven a 360 Ferrari and have to say that from a performance standpoint it doesn't come close to our GT2. I am not sure Ford can beat the 360 by that much. All that being said, the Ford is so damn sexy. I'd say the cruiser in me would prefer the Ford and the racer in me prefers the GT2.
