Not bad. I've been thinking about a G35 coupe. It's about the only thing out there that interests me (gotta be RWD for me).

Earlier, I was thinking about the WRX STI but several people on here and elsewhere said they don't handle well at all, nothing like the S2K. How does the G35 handle for such a heavy car?

Only problem for me with the G35 was the lack of headroom with the sunroof version. Unfortunately the dealer doesn't have any w/o a sunroof. Besides, I hear the G35 will get a re-design for 08.

no contest when its stock vs. stock.

my gf's brother-inlaw has a 07 auto. rolling start from around 25 mph to 80 mph i pulled a good 2-2.5 cars on him. and i was in 2nd gear because the race was unexpected. had i been in 1st gear, i'm sure i would've pulled more.

Who are these several people? Because they're wrong. It handles great. Not as precise as an S2k (Really, what is?) but it's close.

If you are going to get one before the 08 model, you might want the auto tranny. One thing that forum dislike about the G35 is the manual transmission. Shifter vibrates like this guy here >

I'll NEVER get an automatic in a sports car or sports coupe. That's one thing that pisses me off about the Mercedes, that no matter how sporty they are, they ALL have automatics. Manual only for me. I can take a little vibration, although exessive vibration might bother me.
