So we cut back on our usage. We've been doing that these last few months. I remember seeing a report that said even w/ the lower gas prices, people are still driving less. I am just one of those people.

When the prices were higher, I started using public transportation. Right now, Super is down to $1.79/gal, and guess what, I'm still using public transportation, as much as I was when they were high.

I think people are starting to make a fundamental change in their driving habits, inc. the use of public transportation and in renewal-fuels. And I think you'll see this trend continue, with or without higher gas prices.

With gas prices lower, I'm still using public transportation to work. The only difference is that when I drive when I need to, it doesn't feel like I'm getting raped at the gas station.

I hope that people continue to use less gas whether prices are high or not. Watching OPEC panic is a knee slap.

Arabs didn't drive it to $4. Speculators (our speculators, on Wall Street) did that. OPEC can't manipulate supply anywhere near enough to drive prices up that quickly. Witness how ineffective their latest production cuts have been.

Now that the oil bubble burst (as all bubbles do), those same speculators made money all the way down by shorting. Investing 101.
