Default GM's Savior

My personal opinion is that this vehicle is going to sell like hotcakes. It will be for GM as what the Chrysler 300 was for Daimler.

I've read that this car will have a pushrod 16-valve 6.0-liter V-8 motor. My question is what will I/H/E bump the horsepower to?

I'm pretty sure it's just a detuned version of the Ls3, but I could be wrong.

edit: the more i think about it...i think that's wrong.

I dont know why I find this sooo appealing. Yeah its 4000 pounds but so is an Audi RS4. I mean GM's 403hp 6.0 liter moves my dads 08 Escalade quick fast and in a hurry so this shouldnt be a big deal. . I'm trying to convince myself that I want a BIG and comfy fast car. You know, something with the spirit of an E63 or M5. The GT will also have an LSD. The badge-whore in my says ewww its a pontiac but its really a rebadge Holden with a Pontiac front slapped on front. I mean the interior looks like nothing from a U.S. GM vehicle. I dont know, this 1 series needs to come. BMW might have to give me my deposit back.

I really like it too. If it is an LS derivative then getting big time power out of it will be easy. It's a nice looking vehicle too. It looks like a nice, big, comfy sedan with good styling, power, and great price tag. Even the V6 isn't a bad engine.

I don't like the front, but the side profile and interior look pretty nice. Also, the new Buick Enclave is pretty nice too.

Should be a fine car, but not my type. I didn't buy a 300C hemi or Charger etc.. so what's the difference with this car?

I don't care about Camaros or Challengers either.

I really like it too. Not sure it will have the same impact style wise as the 300c did, but it's a sharp looking sports sedan (minus those gay hood vents, that should really be optional)

But I expect it to be more sporting. I guess that's the key, power is one thing, but I think people really want BMW style nimble sporty drives in this segment. So if it drives like a dud, this will follow the GTO right over the sales cliff as another over powered, under developed near miss.
