Default Got the class M license!

ive just got my class M license! now im in the market of buying an 02+ used sportsbike, got about 5Gz cash to spend. this is going to be my first time buying a bike, so does anybody know what to look for when buying a used bike? and also if there's any good places to look for bikes? and good online bike forums? thanks in advance, im really excited and can't wait till i park that next to my S

congrats on getting license. check craigslist or forum above for used bikes. you're on the right track though by getting your license and getting used bike as your first bike. please be careful, ride within your limits, don't get "too" excited, and always expect the worst from cagers

Sportsbike specific, any of the 600's would be great. Performance wise they will all be fairly similar so it will pretty much come down to personal preferences in looks / colour (color for you Americans ).

My personal choice would be a ZX 6 if I was looking for a 600.

CBR F4i - a little more forgiving and less quick than the ZX-6 overall, but nearly as fast in day-to-day driving and a little better built. You can get a 2002-2003 for about $5K if you wait long enough. I just saw a 2005 CBR F4i go for $6K on Ebay (no one bought it, but the reserve was $6K).

thanks for the info. most of the bikes that im finding in that price range have over 15-20K miles on it, so i guess i just gotta keep looking...
