Forget the ridiculous handling stats, all that matters is that guy had a near sexual experience there for a while.

Why are you so concerned with what its parts cost? Let the few Japan-only owners worry about such things. Is it twice faster than the regular GT-R? No. Is it worth twice the price? To the owners, maybe.

It's the internet bro, we are allowed to have differing opinions: mine is that the few upgrades are not worth the price increase. yours and the buyers may be different.

It's not "worth" twice the price to me, but then again, I'm not a potential owner, so I'm not concerned about its part costs. It's also a collectible car in Japan, so it is what it is.

You're not paying the premium for the "upgrades." I think people are confused, every GTR's V-Spec variants price has never reflected that of it's improvements over the base model. Instead they are looked at as collectibles/rarities in Japan and that alone justifies the price/ownership to buyers over there.

Still not a pretty car, but I'd like to beat the crap out of it until it breaks.
