Agreed. Hartge is a reputable BMW tuner.

My first set of wheels for a 325i were from Hartge. 2 brothers actually, one tunes BMWs (Hartge) the other Mercedes (Carlsson) their wheels are nice looking but they are 1. Not strong 2. Like AC Schnitzer, Hamann, Alpina, made by O.Z. $2000 sounds like a good deal given they 1. come with tires, 2. are atleast 18"?

Hartge is okay. They have like 2 or 3 rim designs & I think are about average weight. Haven't heard anything about their strength, but not my cup of tea. Also, the rims are kind of expensive. I really don't think it is that difficult to find perfectly sized/offset rims for a Bimmer (as opposed to the S2000).

So far the only acceptable rims (IMO) for an M are:
BBS (most are very good)
OEM
HRE
Racing Dynamics
Some of the other one-off super expensive brands(Fikse, Cargraphic)

I'm sort of biased... but SSR GT3s look amazing on M3s. Also - the BBS LMs look so... race-car

The offsets for BMW wheels allow for some incredible dish on their rims...

He should do a search in some Bimmer forums though.

They're heavy. Plus they're hard to clean. That design does look nice however. And as wantone said, they're not really strong.
