Default Help with a Daily Driver

I think my time with my S2000 has come to an end. I commute 45miles each way for work and I just don't enjoy the s2000 as much as I use to. I'm looking for a used car around 25k ish. Manual is preferred but not required, no front wheel drive, something thats more comfortable but still somewhat sporty and semi-luxurious yet reliable. Good gas mileage would be nice but not a top priority as long as its not horrid.

My choices are:

06-07 IS350
06-07 G35 Coupe 6mt

Any other ideas or what should I look for (or look out for) in these two choices? Thanks.

FOr that price you could get a new Hyundai Genesis 3.8 Coupe. Just a thought.

^Aesthetics are a big part of what I like in a car. I have to like the way it looks inside and out. The Genesis coupe just doesn't do it for me.

I dig the way the Genesis coupe looks but the clutch has a weird engagement point which I didn't get used to on the test drive. That was a dealbreaker.
Your other choices don't thrill me either. The IS is another 4 door bore and the G35 which I like the looks of but it is just not exciting to drive!
You should not limit yourself to rwd and try a Mk5 or Mk6 GTI . Way more fun than the Gen coupe and G35!

06-07 is350 over the g35 coupe. especially the 06-07 even if is350 is auto. alot better quality imo. the shifter feel and shift gate of the g35 sucks

IS350 only comes in automatic.

To assist the OP... I love the IS350! Unlike the 335i and the C350, the IS350 is a great deal harder to find. Great engine and great transmission! I hear in stock form the car was good for a 5.1 to 60!

I'm in the exact same boat, looking at a lightly used 07/08 335i or 08 135i.

For that price range, you can also get a nice A4 quattro.

Pick up a cheaper DD and save the s2k for weekend or when you feel like ripping it up...

I commute 37 miles each way on a daily basis, and I have had my 2006 A4 quattro for over three years now. No complaints so far, you just can't beat the build quality of German cars, especially the Audi interior. I know it all comes down to personal preferences, but I like the simple but classic design and functionality of it.
