For the money that is one of the more powerful and very inexpensive cars to purchase on GT4.

Use a fraction of that money and modify an EVO.

if you really think about it... why would you pay 30k for:

1. A pair of turbos that can be had cheap in the used market, and rebuilt for under 150.
2. a pair of side mount intercoolers, you could just run the OEM Audi TT setup...
3. piping that a good welder can make and you can powdercoat.
4. a clutch that anyone can buy for under 700.
5. BOV that can be had for under $200.
6. injectors that can be had for under 600
7. FPR that costs about 200
8. Why use a headgasket? if you are already going to take it apart (almost) to put the headgasket and replace the bearings, why not leave the OEM headgasket and lower the compression of the pistons and put forged ones while you are at it?
9. That tranny uses different final drives for the second half of the gears.. it wouldn't surprise me if all they changed was that second final.
etc, etc....

10. The ecu is the only issue, but, if you really had money to blow you can get GIAC to custom tune it for you.

Add a cam, rr's, long tube headers, delete the cats, get a catback, and a lid to an LS1, and you have 400rwhp....and it wont torque steer.

only 30,000 for mods and 30,000 for the car. for $60k the new z06 comes to mind and sould be close to the stage one, but that is still a bad ass kit, and props to them for building an all out kit for the diehard VW crew. Very impressive!
