I'd prefer Honda to make another S2000 style car than bother with F1. I've been an F1 fan for years until last year, now I only watch the start and the first 4 or 5 corners. The tire and refueling rules on top of the engines/trannys having to last and the common ECU with rev limiter have made the sport unwatchable. Too many rules, too little passing, not enough explosions and pit fires anymore.

There's plenty of passing and actually lots of contact lately. Why would you want explosions and pit fires, you know people get hurt and die when that stuff happens right? I'm all for some good action but let's keep everyone safe.

This season has been pretty interesting if I say so myself.

Life is dangerous, racing should be too. Without risk, there is no excitement, you might as well watch bowling or golf.

I don't like the no refueling; makes the race boring. Tires have made this season interesting, but there's too little "run what you brung" to F1 today. If they go to 4 cylinder, I could see Honda making a return, but as an engine supplier, not as a team.

I do nothing there is anything we can do about these complex rules in F1.... I think it remains exciting nonetheless

And this season has been spectacular so I don't have much to complain about in terms of overall excitement and passing etc... I do like the "no refueling" aspect of F1 now coupled with the "no minimum fuel load" in qualifying. Qualifying is now pure and true and the racing is has become quite exciting.

I still don't get why they took away the "blown diffuser" though....

If Honda comes back I hope they give Kamui a factory drive. He really needs a good place to stay.

The rules in F1 are too keep costs down. The sport just got too expensive (still is but the tc going away and driver aids brought costs down), there wasn't enough passing and we are in a worldwide recession. Funds are limited or at least they are trying to keep costs down with more rules to come in the future for this reason.
In MotoGp Dorna is pushing for a spec ECU for the same reasons and Honda is threatening to quit. They don't like it when they don't or can't control the rules in GP.
