I like it. Even if it's not the best car for the money it is something different. The competition is better on paper, but the R8 is a refreshing change.

If I had the money and it proved to not be plagued with the usual Audi problems then I would probably buy it. The way I see it, if I had enough money for that I'd have more than enough to get an R8 and then mod my S2k into an even more fun DD.

keep in mind this wasn't designed to be a balls to the wall performance machine such as the GT3, Z06 or bluedevil to some extent, etc. I imagine the R8 is extremely sophisitcated with a stunningly beautiful and comfortable interior, top notch fit and finish all around, and so on. You're buying more than performance with this car, and the price reflects it.. with that said, I'll take a GT3

IMO, the R8 doesn't have to perform much better than it does to justify a purchase. Pretty soon every car on the planet will be able to do a 4 second 0-60, and it won't be that impressive anymore.

The R8 would be a car I'd buy on looks alone. It's almost like a road-going F22. There's just about nothing I can think of that looks better, for less money or more. Audi hits another one out of the park.

While I like high RPM's I also like diesels and MT is saying the most powerful version of this car may have a diesel. It would certainly be an interesting choice to have a high performance car like this with an engine good for 500,000 to 1,000,000 miles.

I prefer the looks of the Gallardo. However, for a $40k discount and Audi service I would take it.

I looks like it would compete with the AM V8. Its more a GT car than an all out sports car(GT3). I would opt for the Audi over the AM.
