I think this is probably the most likely scenario.

Any knowledge on how the chassis would handle 400+whp. The tq would likely be up around the same number too.

^^that movie is the epitimy of all that is evil!!! all the mkIV supras came with a 2jz

anyway...someone mentioned the compression ratio and pushing 3lbs of boost would create a nuclear mentdown...the solution is simple, tear into the eninge and lower your static compression ratio (thinker head gasket if available, dished valves, dished pistons, remember folks this is a direct injection engine, the mazdaspeed3 has a compression ration of 9.5:1 which not long ago was unheard of for a factory turbocharged engine
yes a compression ratio of 12.5:1 and forced induction...well thatll cause a lond noise that cost a lot of money to fix but thats where the fun is

They definitely need a turbo version of this asap! I don't care how light it is etc it is still incredibly slow! If/when they make a nice sti turbo version with around 300hp and the ability to tune for me I could be interested.

Again I have to laugh at the idea that a car that does 0-60 in the low 6s is slow.
